Amber and I will have been together three years this Friday. We have nothing planned presently, and neither of us really have any ideas on how we should go about celebrating. Our weekend is already booked, so we’re thinking in terms of something we could do Friday night. Any suggestions?

James and I once went up to Amicalola falls for an anniversary; it’s beautiful up there. Congratulations you guys!!!
My coworker was just talking about how she and her husband are going up to the mountains this coming weekend. She was laughing because this place was advertising how each cabin has a “romantic 3-person hot tub.”
Wow! Three years! That’s great. I’m so happy for you two. A couple ideas from this old lady:
-Dash out of work and head over to the Atlanta Botanical Garden for a stroll (they close at 7PM on Friday)
-Pack (or pick up) a picnic and head to Sweetwater Park

-Have a romantic dinner at Petite Auberge in Toco Hills (it’s an old fogie place but the food and service are divine)
-Check into the Four Seasons on 14th Street for a night. They have a fab (indoor) pool and spa and they’ll treat you like royalty. They even have some specials that include spa services or dinner or breakfast in bed. Um, though, it’s not cheap
Thanks for the suggestions! Catherine, somehow I knew you’d have ideas. We considered the Four Seasons idea until we looked at their prices online and had a bit of sticker shock. So we might just hit up Petite Auberge!
I have fond memories of Petit Auberge. Weird but fond.
Sometimes you can get really good deals on Orbitz type sites for a “local getaway”. Essentially, on the day of any unbooked inventory goes real cheap (they’d rather rent the room for $50 then have it go unrented, since it only costs $5 or so to clean). If you still don’t have plans, might want to see what you can get. A friend stayed at the Westin Peachtree Plaza once for far below the normal asking price by doing this.
Chris makes a good point. You might try calling the Four Seasons on Friday midday and see if you can talk them into a good deal. Or, just wait til five years for that splurge.
I can totally understand Grifts fond but weird comment. The place is still circa 1960 or so. But the food is terrific; service impeccable.
..you guys should dedicate a blog post to each other….
