MARTA’s Breeze card machines run Windows 2000. I saw one rebooting this morning and almost got a photo, but the screen went blue just as I had my phone ready to shoot.

Via email from my dear, blogless friend Jenny, I would like to share the following anecdote:
Heh.
Two of the key kiosk-type machines I work on at the hospital run on OS/2 and Win95. It’s great.
Have they gone to the permanent Breeze card yet? Have you received yours in the mail? Are the buses now outfitted with Breeze?
My understanding is my plastic Breeze card is supposed to arrive in the mail any day now, but who knows?
All the rail stations have been converted, but I don’t know for certain about the buses, as there’s nothing in the FAQ on the web site.
I just emailed one of MARTA’s PR reps to see if she could answer either of those questions.
It’s been a long time now since I’ve been on a bus without a Breeze thingy on it, but that’s my anecdotal accounting as of right now.
