I voted in the GOP primary for Cagle, Handel (shippeeng and handles), whoever is running against Kathy with a K, and abstained in most of the other races. There were also some questions at the end asking whether I’d support Fair Tax and Guest Worker programs. I voted no to both.
So, if Democrats don’t have Ralph Reed to kick around in November, I accept full responsibility. I fully understand Chris’ point that he’d likely be a gift to Democrats in November worth a 5- to 15-percent handicap, but I’m not willing to risk an election that’s even that close with Jim Martin or Greg Hecht as the candidate. I have reservations about Martin considering how poorly DFCS was run for a long time (though that arguably had more to do with funding than with the person running it). And Hecht is a sleaze that’d I’d have a tough time voting for even against Reed (though I probably would, I bet a lot of people wouldn’t).
So that’s that. Chastise me at will.

Awww who cares about politics…NCAA 2007 comes out today!
Already bought it on my way to work today.
Heh. Into the debasement fantasies now, are ya?
Ready for me to bring it??
Oh criminy, if a reversal of the NYE picture shows up on Leftyblogs you guys are SO in trouble!
What?? Are you suggesting that prominent liberal bloggers are opposed to any deviation from the heteronormative, um, norm??
Go Dawgs!
Thomas and I voted on the other team this time, too, and it’s apparently a good thing some of us did — with 20% reporting right now it’s only a ten percent gap between the two, and with Fulton and Gwinnett staying open later . . . who knows. Whatever happens in the Dem race I’m willing to deal with, but I’m not into taking chances on creepy Ralph Reed.
Looks like Reed is going down.
You can “bet on it.”
Post-Election Observations…
Mark Taylor wins the primary over Cathy Cox. Now he’s got a bigger fight: unseating an incumbent whose approval ratings are not that bad. Ralph Reed loses. As it turns out, at least a bare majority (56%) of Georgia’s……
