What’s more sickening is the list of people on the right. I understand that maybe Bernie Marcus has his reasons to support Bush and the Republicans in a national election. But why on God’s earth would he support putting Ralph Reed in the Lt. Governor’s position?
In case we were counting, the CEOs of Georgia Pacific (no longer in GA) and Home Depot are also co-chairs. And did you notice perenniel UGA hero Eric Zeier on the Host Committee? Oh, and Bill Heard III - the guy who sells cars.
I am embarrassed by Rudy Guiliani now, and much less likely to vote for him as President should he run. This is a very poor choice for an endorsement–Georgia does NOT need the black eye that would come from electing the Abramoff crony / Christian Coalition uber-rightist to office.
You have to understand that is most likely a paid gig for Rudy. If he is trying to raise money for a campaign then he is going to have to make paid speaches.
I don’t know that much about Reed…(I live in AZ now) but I do know from the time I spent in Barr and Gingrich’s offices(Don’t stone me…it was a high school internship) that the far right are the most generous with the donations. So, if you need money…go to those you know will be more likely to give it. Additionally Rudy is popular with the moderates…look at your opinions of him. If he wants a shot at a nomination he has to carry the religious right. That is the name of the game. He needs facetime and associations…that is the game. Politics is just a game…never forget that part. A game with incrediable stakes.
A man who has been photographed in drag pushing the leader of the Christian Coalition.
What’s next?
I say Rusty starts dating Ann Coulter. She’ll have him wearing jack boots in no time.
Heh, I suspect if I ever met Ann Coulter, the encounter would go a little more like this.
Jesus God!

Oh no…is he still around? I went to high school with him and his little sister…
Bad memories…
Diana, I certainly do understand, but what kind of judgment does that imply on Giuliani’s part? Is he that hard up for cash?

Who is politically hurt the most by the Reed - Rudy fund raiser? I would not beleive either of them would sell out this much. You just have to laugh.
