If you photograph it, the terrorists win.
One of the MARTA security guards at the Five Points station stopped me as I was taking the second photograph and said, “You’re not allowed to take photographs here.” I asked him why, and he said, “national security.”
I said, “Oh, okay, I won’t take any more photos,” and put my camera away.
“I’m just trying to save you a (something),” the guard said.
He either said “frisking” or “arrest,” I’m not quite sure since he was mumbling. Anyway, like The Terrahists couldn’t just walk up and, you know, look at the toll machines. But whatever. I guess the population has achieved ultimate fear saturation when an incompetent organization like MARTA harasses riders over “national security” concerns.

I’m just trying to save you a wedgie?
Thanks for the pictures. I think if handled right this new system could really revolutionize the system (distance based pricing). I’ve been curious but at the same time I didn’t want to ride out to Bankhead.
Chris,
Yeah, they do that with the Metro in DC. It’d be nice if I was riding just the next station on the line to pay less than $1.75.
Well, I know how I’m getting arrested this weekend.
Shit Rusty, now they have what they need… first the UAE wanted some ports, and now they know the plans of MARTA… WE. ARE. FUCKED.
Did they ever run MARTA out into Cobb county?
They were talking about it before I left.
No of course they didn’t…then all the evil black people would come steal all the good wholesome white people’s TV’s.
The great irony to this is my sister is dating a black guy and it is driving my parents nuts…They grounded her for a week for getting a hicky…I love my parents…so very stupid.
